Grilled Corn On The Cob On Stove
Corn on the cob is a classic summer staple that can be cooked in many different ways. One of the most popular methods is grilling. Grilled corn on the cob is delicious, flavorful, and easy to make. Many people believe that grilling corn on the cob is only possible outdoors on a barbecue grill, but that's not true. You can easily grill corn on the cob on your stove, and enjoy the same smoky flavor and crispy texture.
Ingredients:
- 4 ears of corn on the cob, cleaned and with the husks removed
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Aluminum foil
Instructions:
- Heat your stove to medium-high heat.
- Brush the corn with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Wrap each ear of corn with aluminum foil, making sure they are completely covered.
- Place the foil-wrapped corn on the stove, and turn them every 5 minutes or so, making sure they are evenly cooked.
- After about 20 minutes, the corn should be ready. To check if they're done, carefully unwrap one ear of corn and try it. If it's crispy and tender, it's ready!
- Remove the corn from the stove, and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Enjoy your delicious grilled corn on the cob!
Tips:
- You can add different spices to the corn, such as paprika or garlic powder, to give it more flavor.
- If you want your corn to have a smokier flavor, you can add some wood chips to the aluminum foil before wrapping the corn. This will infuse the corn with smoky goodness.
- To get the corn crispy and caramelized, you can remove the aluminum foil in the last 5 minutes of cooking and let it directly grill on the stove.
- You can also boil the corn before grilling it on the stove, for a total cooking time of 10-12 minutes. This will make sure that the corn is cooked through before it's grilled.
